The inaugural event will take place in 2010 and will be formally announced at a press conference in Beijing, China. This annual event has been established to help the general public better understand the vital role the plumbing industry plays in protecting public health and safety, the extent to which it helps limit mankind’s environmental footprint and other important work performed by contractors, inspectors, installers, engineers, manufacturers and academicians that is often taken for granted. As a means of promoting World Plumbing Day worldwide, the WPC will provide its member organizations, as well as any other parties interested in promoting the globally important role of plumbing, with fact sheets and other promotional information to encourage these organizations to plan activities celebrating World Plumbing Day in their own countries.
